Embarking on our much-anticipated girl trip to Tampa, Florida,
my middle school besties and I kicked off our adventure with a Monday morning flight, setting the stage for four nights of laughter, exploration, and unforgettable moments.
APRIL 19,2021
Touching down in Tampa, excitement filled the air as we made our way to the hotel.
Arrival and First Impressions:**
Upon reaching our room, we wasted no time unpacking and immersing ourselves in the cozy ambiance. Our initial impression? The room was nice, and the balcony, a charming touch that hinted at leisurely afternoons ahead.
Poolside Paradise:
Eager to dive into our Tampa getaway, we discovered the hotel’s large pool, adorned with nearby activities and a lively bar. As night fell, the pool transformed into a mesmerizing spectacle, lit up with enchanting colors—an enticing preview of evenings to come.
Exploring Hunger and Late-Night Cafe Delights:
Hungry for both adventure and a satisfying meal, we ventured out to explore nearby spots. Stumbling upon a charming café—one of the few open in the vicinity—we decided to indulge in a few drinks. The cafe’s warm ambiance and delightful offerings set the perfect tone for the night.
Preparation for Morning Excitement:
Returning to our hotel, we wrapped up our first night, preparing for the adventures that awaited us come morning. With the promise of more discoveries and shared laughter, we eagerly anticipated the start of our Tampa escapade.
APRIL 21 : WATERBIKES+BOATS
Exploring Excursions and Shifting Plans:
Our initial plan of jet skiing hit a roadblock due to licensing constraints for some friends. Undeterred, we swiftly pivoted and opted for the next best thrill—water biking. Our journey began with a scenic walk, leading us to the starting point of our aquatic escapade.
Water Biking Extravaganza:
Engaging in full-throttle water biking activities, we reveled in the workout and the sheer joy of skimming the water’s surface. Eager to extend the thrill, we walked over to rent a speed boat, embracing double occupancy. Taking the helm, I navigated the waters, steering us through nonstop fun, punctuated by the occasional challenge.
Boating Shenanigans and Dockside Delight:
In the midst of our aquatic escapades, a moment of amusement unfolded as my friend got temporarily stuck. With a mix of laughter and quick thinking, she managed to escape, and we docked our boats, ready to savor a well-deserved meal.
DINNER AFTER ACTIVITIES
Crab Shack Discoveries and Sunset Serenity:
Wrapping up our water-based excursions, we embarked on a leisurely stroll until we stumbled upon a nearby crab shack. Dinner became a flavorful affair as we indulged in the delectable offerings, soaking in the ambiance as the sun dipped below the horizon.
As nightfall descended, we made our way back to the hotel, savoring the rest of the evening in anticipation of the adventures that awaited us the next day. With bellies full and hearts content, we rested, eager to recharge for the continued exploration of Tampa.
TAMPA BUSCH GARDENS
Day three in Tampa marked our farewell adventure, and we decided to make it memorable by heading to Busch Gardens, an exciting attraction theme park. Opting for convenience, we hailed an Uber and eagerly embarked on a day filled with thrills.
Upon arrival, the park unfolded before us, offering a plethora of experiences. Bumper cars, delightful funnel cake indulgence, and playful encounters with monkeys were just a few highlights. Although only two of us braved the exhilarating rides, the laughter and camaraderie elevated the entire experience.
Afternoon Mall Exploration:
As the day at Busch Gardens concluded, some of my friends decided to call it a day. Undeterred, we hopped into another Uber, this time destined for the mall. Exploring the diverse shops and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, we made the most of our afternoon.
Dinner Delights and Farewell Preparations:
Our Tampa adventure neared its end, and we headed out for a final dinner, relishing in the flavors of the city. Unfortunately, the time had come to bid adieu to the Sunshine State. Packing our belongings, we patiently awaited check-out time, spending our remaining moments in the lobby.
DEPARTURE APRIL 23,2021
Uber Journey to the Airport:
The Uber arrived, signaling the end of our Tampa escapade. With hearts full of memories, we bid farewell to the hotel, Tampa, and the wonderful experiences we had shared. The journey to the airport became a reflective ride, cherishing the laughter, adventures, and the unique charm of our girl trip.
